Asia Argento was raised in Rome by a film maker as well as an actor family. She pursued both professions her own. In 1985 she made her acting debut in the film of Sergio Citti, Sogni e bisogni. She played the lead in the film as Cristina Comencini in her first film Zoo which was released in 1988. Michele Soavi directed The Church 1989. In 2002 Asia appeared in The Red Siren with Jean Marc Barr, and Rob Cohen's Action-Thrille, directed by Vin Diesel. Asia is the writer of several short stories, that were published in a variety of magazines.
